About Us

Hunter Modular Construction was born under the company of Lorlee Transport dba/ Hunter & Hunter Transport established in 1981 then incorporated in 1993 to fill the need and opportunity to set and dismantle modular buildings across the United States, Mexico and possibly beyond North America in the near future.  We are a  Minority Owned Union Corporation that is affiliated Internationally with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, the Laborers International Union and the Operators and Engineers of North America.

The Hunter Family saw the need for a modular construction company with one of their first large jobs consisting of dismantling modular buildings for the General Motors plant in Wentzville, Missouri.  They bought the units from General Motors and recycled these buildings into office complexes, a reception hall and an automotive building.  The buildings are still being used to this day.  This was just the beginning of what they saw could be done with modular buildings.  The Hunter family continued to set modular buildings all over the United States, working for pharmaceutical companies, prisons, schools, office buildings and military bases.  Hunter Modular Construction was also called upon after 9-11.  Hunter Modular Construction was on-site immediately to set offices at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the White House.  Hunter Modular Construction was also called in to set modular buildings and homes for the Hurricane disasters of Charlie, Frances, Jeanne, and Ivan with latest disaster of Hurricane Katrina.

A company that started out with two employees now proudly employs more than 200 hundred people.  Hunter Modular Construction’s rock-solid dependability is at the core of every job.  Hunter Modular Construction is a strong and proud company; Hunter Modular Construction understands that their success is totally dependent upon their clients’ satisfaction.  This satisfaction requires more than just producing quality work, it demands an attitude of make it happen in a safe environment.
